Privacy Policy

How we collect, store, and protect your personal information.

Last updated: July 10, 2026

At Rajouri, protecting the privacy of verified residents is foundational. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we safeguard it.

1. Information We Collect

To verify physical residency in Rajouri Garden, we collect: full name, personal email, active mobile number, exact block coordinates, and flat/house number. We also collect an uploaded photo or PDF of a recent utility bill as proof of residence.

When you use the platform, we additionally store: posts, comments, likes, and notification preferences associated with your account.

2. How We Store Proof Documents

Uploaded utility bills are stored in private, encrypted S3-compatible storage. They are accessible exclusively to block administrators for verification purposes. Once verification is complete (approved or rejected), documents remain securely stored and are never visible to other residents.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your block name is visible to other verified residents on your posts and comments to establish community context. Your phone number, email address, and utility bill documents are never shared with other users.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account remains active. If you request account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or moderation purposes.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting platform administrators through the contributors page. We will respond within 14 business days.

6. Contact

For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at hi@rajouri.org or reach out through the contributors page or your block coordinator.
